You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt hath lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden underfoot. Una grande luce che illuminano il mondo è stato acceso, sollevato sul candeliere, splende sopra la terra intera, una città reale ben fortificata e situato su una collina, in cui c’è una grande popolazione che appartengono a Dio.

Il murale da Kenneth Webb nell’Abbazia di Bangor è stato commissionato sotto la Guida di Canon James Hamilton. L’uso del triangolo, che denota la Santissima Trinità, pervade tutta la progettazione e ci conduce verso l’alto dalle figure di Comgall, Colombano e Gallo in primo piano la figura centrale del Cristo ascendente. Le caratteristiche di Cristo sono quelli di una persona di colore, sottolineando la natura mistica del figlio dell’uomo. Egli è concepito come dando il suo ultimo comando:
“Andate in tutto il mondo e predicate il Vangelo”
The mural by Kenneth Webb in Bangor Abbey was commissioned under the guidance of Canon James Hamilton. The use of the triangle, denoting the Holy Trinity, pervades the whole design and leads us upwards from the figures of Comgall, Columbanus and Gall in the foreground to the central figure of the Ascending Christ. The features of Christ are those of a Black person, emphasising the mystic nature of the Son of Man. He is conceived as giving His Last Command:
” Go ye into all the World and preach the Gospel”
