- 1. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the meeting held on Monday, 27 February, 2012 were approved.
- 2. It was agreed that:
(a) Martin McAleese would arrange for the Posse Committee to make a presentation to the Oireachtas All Party Consultation Group on Commemorations.
(b) an appropriate facilitator be identified by Martin McAleese to engage with the groups of approximately15 young Loyalist and Republicans before bringing them together.
(c) the presentation and discussion in Taughmonagh Social Club on “Different Perspectives on the Events of 1912 to 1922” be deferred until after the commemoration of the Balmoral Parade.
(d) Jackie McDonald, Sean Murray and George Newell would make a presentation on behalf of the Committee to the SEUPB Workshop for 14Local Authority led Peace Partnerships across Northern Ireland and the border region on the subject of “Commemorations”.
This Workshop will be held on Thursday, 26th April 2012 in the offices of the Community Relations Council for Northern Ireland in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.
