A Coffee Morning for Rebecca and Africa

Today I went to Rebecca’s Coffee Morning and met her Family and Friends..She was raising funds for a three month GAP visit to Africa to teach children, heip in an AIDS programme and then a Habitat for Humanity Project. I told her about the origins of Jazz and asked her to find out more about African music.

In the morning at a meeting of the Ullans Academy in Bell’s Coffee Shop, the Patron, Andy Tyrie, gave me the August edition of the National Geographic Magazine in which there was an article on the Oglala Sioux. He asked me to recite the Prayer I said at the Milwaukie Irish Fest …and so I did…Yesterday I had gone with him to the opening of the Andy Tyrie Interpretive Centre on the Newownards Road.
