HRH Prince Edward Duke of Kent’s Visit to Glasnevin Cemetery

12:45        HRH Prince Edward The Duke of Kent arrived at Glasnevin (Prospect) Cemetery, Dublin ,the first Royal to visit the historic site since Princess Grace of Monaco. 

The visit included a short tour of the Glasnevin Museum

§  Many notable people of Ireland are buried in this cemetery

§  The Commission has a commitment of over 200 scattered war graves.

§  The cemetery is a proposed site for a Commission Visitor Information Panel

§  In 2012, two Commission Screen Walls were moved to a more prominent position by Glasnevin Trust.
